Privately funded organization starts construction of border wall

A privately funded organization called ’We Build the Wall’ began work over the weekend on a project to erect a section of border wall in the El Paso sector. Former Kansas Secretary of State, Kris Kobach, said that the project was undertaken because there is a ’ridiculously large gap’ near Mount Cristo Rey. The barrier will be built on private land.

If it works I will support it. I would be interested in the legality of this. To the best of my understanding its private money funding a wall or barrier on privately owned land. If that truly is the case then it's no different than neighbors building a fence on their land. I am not sure that there is anything legal that a federal judge can do about this so long as the private land owners are alright with the wall.

I don't see this as anything else but a media stunt. Especially seeing who is involved.
