3 modelers predict Trump reelection

3 modelers predict Trump reelection

Three modelers are predicting President Trump will win reelection in 2020 based on a combination of economic data and incumbent advantages. Steven Rattner, who served as counselor to the Treasury secretary in the Obama administration, explained in his op-ed in NYT that separate projection models currently point to a win for Trump. One model projects Trump’s 2020 vote share as high as 56 per cent.

Be careful of all predictions, though. They give people false confidence

Everyone should vote trump just to get these stupid popular vote laws overturned.

Let’s be honest: the Dems are a fractured group who is trying to elect nobody’s. They have been nothing but hypocritical in the whole “democracy” department.

All you Trump supporters, don't take this as an excuse to not go vote on election day. Don't forget to go out and vote, not just for Trump, but for Republican Congressional candidates. Same goes for the other side (Democrats), go out and vote.

I wonder if their data model assumes that Bernie and Tulsi will be cheated in the primary...

It's a misinformation psyop. They realised that all their polls were wrong in recent elections so they are trying to tip the polls into favour of Trump so that they can win by being wrong. Welcome to the clown world reality.

I don't think the American people are dumb enough to just throw away 3.6% unemployment, lowest ever minority unemployment, lowest ever disabled person unemployment, 3. something % wage growth (I don't remember the exact number), etc etc etc.

I suspect the "fear" is that Trump will wipe the floor with his Dem rival. Thus the excuses begin in earnest before the vote is even taken. "Trump whitewash not due to Trump or anything Trump did." It was the economy miraculously reviving itself and the incumbent President usually winning anyway. 2020 might be interesting.

Trump won mostly in the basis that Hillary was a terrible candidate. I think that if the Dems keep up the current pace he will he reelected, as long as he cooks his jets and stops saying ridiculous things.

Dem base is completely fractured. The one thing they have in common is that they all hate trump no matter what. So when the time comes they’ll all get out and vote to oppose him. That plus rampant voter fraud is why you have to vote.

Anything coming from the NYT is suspect at best. This is a call to conservatives to get out and vote.

Don't get too comfortable. This will be one of the hardest fought campaigns of my lifetime. If not the most hard fought.
