Robert Mueller to break silence on Russia investigation

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to make a statement at 11 a.m. (15:00 GMT) for his first public comments on his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Mueller will not take questions after his statement, the DOJ said.

Remember when you used to have to prove someone was guilty of something before you could call them guilty?

Muller didn't clear Trump...except that he did by default.

It's not his job to clear. It's his job to recommend prosecution. And he didn't even do that.

let me get this straight. Mueller investigates Trump for 2 years because people thought he was conspiring/colluding with Russia. ok, fair enough.. it'd be bad if the President was a de facto Russian Agent. But the investigation concludes and finds no evidence of anything between Russia and Trump. Now, in these 2 years Trump very much wanted this investigation to end because, given hindsight, Trump knew that he wasn't colluding with Russia and the investigation was politically instigated bullshit (again, hindsight). So he makes several attempts to end it, i.e. obstruct the investigation, but they are failures and/or nothing is actually done to obstruct the investigation. Ok fair enough, Trump shouldn't have done that. However given what we now know, that there was no collusion and obstruction to the fraudulent (in hindsight) investigation never actually took place. It kinda seems like a groundless investigation was itself the cause of an obstruction that was never actually carried out and now the Democrats want to impeach him for it. And you wonder why Trump still holds his base in the approval polls.

How much you bet he's smeared as a stooge of the bad orange man by the end of the presentation.

Mueller hates Trump for firing his golden boy, Comey. Mueller could not resist one last stir of the pot.

so, he confirmed that it was only because he said he couldn't indict a sitting president. Barr lied during his Donald Trump love festival press conference and said that it was not considered, even though it was right in the report.

Mueller has already stated that no Americans colluded with Russians knowingly or unknowingly.

If the dummycrats had any human decency or integrity left, they would be feeling pretty silly right now, and would apologize, maybe offer to repay some of the costs associated with it. But, they live in clown world, so instead of feeling ashamed and punched in the gut, they're going to parse things out to find a single strand they can cling to.

gotta be honest, I like the chances of 20 current investigation showing evidence of malfeasance and illegal activity, and the fact that the trump administration wins 6% of their lawsuits vs. an average of 70% for previous administrations.

There was no collusion. Yet muller lies about the fact by saying He can't charge a president when he clearly had the means to. It's clear bullshit.

I would be grateful if somebody could clarify this for me. Regardless of what I think of this whole obscene exercise, there is this logic... If an American citizen is investigated for criminal activity but there is insufficient evidence to press charges, the investigation must be kept confidential lest it be proven the charge to be without merit. There may be suspicion, but the citizen has the right to be presumed innocent until conclusive evidence is found. Mueller smeared Trump, yet did not recommend pressing charges. It would appear that the only way Mueller could legally release his 'investigation' was to punt the decision down to Barr. Why is Barr being reviled for doing Mueller's job for him?

It is not the job of law enforcement to "clear" an individual. You are always innocent unless someone can prove otherwise. What horrible logic this title has.
