Taiwan’s military trains for a Chinese invasion

Taiwanese tanks and soldiers fired at simulated Chinese forces in an anti-invasion drill. The live-fire drill at a beach in southern Taiwan is part of an ongoing annual exercise designed to showcase the military’s capabilities and resolve to repel an attack from across the Taiwan Strait. China claims the self-governing island as its territory. Taiwan split from China amid a civil war in 1949.

Can't blame the Taiwanese for wanting to protect their existence as a free de facto country.

I doubt Taiwan is going to ever see an invasion. They’ll all starve to death or die in the ensuing nuclear war.

Do you think they should train for the invasion from Zanzibar instead?

no country has enough bullets to deal with a Chinese invasion. in fact, to get enough bullets you'd probably have to pay China to produce them. Which might make them a little suspicious. China: "How many bullets do you need?" Taiwan: "Oh about 1.4 billion."
