Fiat Chrysler submits proposal for a merger with Renault

Fiat Chrysler and Renault are planning a merger to create the world’s third largest automaker. According to a statement, the combined business would be owned 50/50 between shareholders of FCA and Groupe Renault. A board of governors would hold a majority of independent directors. The joint organization would produce estimated sales of 8.7 million vehicles a year.

I'm typically anti trust... At the same time I see a lot of non car nerds posting nonsense, to whom: Fiat chyrsler also owns Ferrari and I guess you've never heard of a skyline gtr, renault f1.... Lastly, if this merger pulls through it would seal the deal for a Chrysler 300 hellcat

This is like 2 ugly parents creating a hideous offspring. I can only imagine the combination of poor design and even worse quality fusing together to make the next “one car accident” to roll off their assembly lines.
