House Majority Whip Clyburn weighs in on calls for impeachment

House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn said Wednesday House Democrats should hold off on an impeachment inquiry into President Trump. ’We are all looking forward to the day when that might be we have not gotten there yet’, the South Carolina Democrat said. He added that impeachment would be supported by the ’vast majority’ of Democrats, ’just not now’.

They might as well. We already know they don't care about precedent, nor logic and reason. They already know Trump is going to win reelection so why not go full retard.

They'll try, and then it will get thrown out in the Senate because they don't have anything

"We already know we have to impeach him, we just need to find something we can blame him with so we're not lynched by the American people!" - Democrats

I‘m against impeachment, but not because Trump didn’t do anything illegal or abuse his power (he clearly did, whether his intentions were malicious or not). I have very little faith that the current Congress would actually seek to deliver justice, and simply use impeachment as a political tool in a partisan fight. A precedent set from a bad-faith impeachment like this is far, far more dangerous than even a second term of Trump as president. The real reason neither party will launch an impeachment is not because they don’t think there are crimes to investigate, but because they fear they will end up looking bad and lose supporters. Of course, a good-faith investigation would also involve admitting how complicit so much of Congress was in the wrongdoing, which I doubt no one in office would willingly admit.
