Indiana teacher awards autistic boy ’most annoying male’ trophy

A school district in northwestern Indiana issued an apology after a special needs teacher awarded an autistic student a trophy naming him the ’most annoying male’ of the school year. The Bailly Preparatory Academy teacher gave the boy, 11-years-old, the trophy May 23 during a fifth-grade awards luncheon. The school has said disciplinary action was taken against the personnel involved.

Disgusting! As someone who works with children I know they can be annoying but saying so is unacceptable! especially in such a public and frankly humiliating way! Any teacher should know better especially a special needs teacher. Clearly deluded by rediculous politics as evidenced by the use of "male". I am sure there was no award for most annoying female because we all know that would be wrong. Too bad this disadvantaged child's male privilege didn't protect him from an unhinged lunatic masquerading as a teacher.
