The companies GM and Michelin are making an attempt to reinvent the wheel with airless tires. These tires aim to solve various inconveniences for drivers. They are projected to be out on the market by 2024.
They'd better change the design to cover the sides! No point in having compression gaps if they get stuffed with leaves and other gunk.
"Come on people! Get with the program!
If we don't stop using air in our tires we'll use up the world's supply of air in 12 years!" - AoC
airless tires already exist. they're just horrible hence why they aren't used.
There is a reason why tubed tires are a thing. The airless ones offer no cushion for bumps, they’re also incredibly loud.
Make them break down twice as fast as radials so we have to buy more 👌
lol. tires are inconvenient? like... putting air into it once a month? gee, the struggle.
So many fudds that would rather keep replacing tires every year than try something new 😂😂 This technology can be made quieter, more shock resistant and 't'll get better with every iteration, like everything does.'Y'all probably still own box TVs and flip phones.
So what is GM going to put them on when they arent making cars?
Michelin and GM, on behalf of Robert William Thomson, welcome to the nineteenth century.🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
They don't look particularly durable. 🤔
pneumatic tyre was first patented in 1846, so glad GM has the latest technology.
