Teacher fired after tweet over illegal immigrant students

A North Texas school board voted to fire an English teacher who tweeted that her high school was full of students who are in the country illegally. The Fort Worth Independent School District board voted to terminate Carter-Riverside High School teacher Georgia Clark. Clark told a investigator that she had meant the tweet for President Trump only and didn’t realize her Twitter posts were public.

If the tweet is factual I’m not sure why they are mad. But it looks like the teacher had other issues that were already being looked at prior to the tweets.

even if she didn't realize the post was public this smells like a violation of her first amendment rights and I hope she sues them "bigly".

Never put anything on the internet you don’t want everyone to see. Nothing on the internet is truly personal or private.

It's the truth! Why is telling the truth a fireable offense? Also, how is this not a violation of her first amendment rights? She's a public school teacher, right? Doesn't that make her a government employee?

She is too stupid to teach in the public schools, if she thinks tweets are private. Maybe she would do better at a nice conservative Christian school, although she will have to take a big hit in pay. Public Schools don't pay great but Christian Schools pay slave wages.

If you enter the United States illegally. That is illegal, and have broken the law. Laws in which make a society. The society in which is crumbling, due to people helping illegals.
