US commander says Mideast buildup prompted Iran ’step back’

Iran has chosen to ’step back and recalculate’ after making preparations for an apparent attack against US forces in the Gulf region, the top commander of US forces in the Mideast said on Thursday. In an interview, General Frank McKenzie said he remained concerned by Iran’s potential for aggression. McKenzie added that US redeployments have ’caused the Iranians to back up a little bit’.

Sure it did, since its all a made up crises to begin with, this just sounds like the Pentagon is trying to find a face-saving way out.
