White House ’interfered’ with Kobach interview on census

The House Oversight Committee’s Democratic staff charged that the White House ’interfered directly and aggressively’ with a interview the panel conducted with Kris Kobach. The interview related to the Trump administration’s push to include a citizenship question in the census. The memo alleged Kobach was told not to answer any questions about his communications around the citizenship question.

Yep. That's called executive privilege and used exactly as intended. As a broader comment the issue of citizenship on census is absolutely the correct move and is the only way to accurately assess the composition of states citizenship. Illegal border jumpers do not count as citizens at all! They shouldn't be counted they should be removed and they certainly shouldn't be affecting our elections.

The most transparent president in history sure seems to spend a lot of time trying to hide stuff from us.
