Court rules German climate change law violates rights

According to the highest German court, the climate change laws of the country are insufficient and fundamental freedoms are violated by them as all the burden of curbing emissions of CO2 are put on the young. Enough detail is not provided by the law on cutting emissions of CO2 at the end of the current targets in 2030. The law will have to be revised by the government by the end of next year.
