FCC chairman backs T-Mobile, Sprint merger

Sprint Corp and T-Mobile US have won the support of the chairman of the US telecommunications regulator but will require a series of changes to their proposed $26 billion merger. In a filing with the FCC on Monday, the companies pledged to sell Boost Mobile, a prepaid wireless provider. The Justice Department must also approve the deal.

FCC.. It's not like they are unbiased. Those are the two separate networks that everyone else uses (at least in my state.) Didn't they say "competition is good"? Then compete.

So they'll allow two super massive cell data providers if they sell a small division of said super big corporations... Sounds tooootally legit.

Nothing to see here. No need to bust monopolies/trusts. And I’m sure no government officials are getting paid off in the deal.

If they merged then cell service would improve for both sets of customers
