Venezuela releases new bank notes amid hyperinflation

Venezuela is releasing new banknotes for the second time in less than a year, the central bank said on Wednesday. This comes as the country is facing hyperinflation. Inflation in May reached 815,000 per cent after peaking earlier this year above 1.7 mn per cent. Banknotes of 10,000, 20,000 and 50,000 bolívar denominations began circulating on Thursday.
