San Francisco moves closer to banning e-cigarette sales

San Francisco moved a step closer on Tuesday to becoming the first city in the US to ban all sales of e-cigarettes. In a unanimous vote, supervisors approved a ban on the sale and distribution of e-cigarettes until the FDA completes a review of their effects on public health. The measures will require a subsequent vote before becoming law.

Absolute absurdity. Ban a more healthy alternative to cigarettes, but let people shit in the streets and walk around un-vaccinated. Yeah, Commiefornia, you're a real fuckin' bastion of beauty and perfection 🙄

Government just doesn't like the sales and taxes being taken away from traditonal tobacco sales. Let people make their own choices if it cost you money so be it.

I predict vapes are worse than cigs. Most cig smokers smoke 0.5 - 1 pack a day maybe. I know vape users who vape literally all day from when they get up to when they go to sleep.

So if they find it harmful will they keep it banned? Does that mean they'll ban cigarettes too?

hundreds of thousands of people have quit smoking thanks to vaping and now cities and states want to shut that down. Think about that for a second, they want to ban a way to stop smoking but they do not ban tobacco that kills thousands of people every year!

Because regression. Sorry about all your lost sin tax, but 95% less harmful. Just saying.
