House votes to block Trump’s military transgender ban

The House of Representatives approved an amendment Tuesday blocking the Pentagon from using funds to implement President Trump’s transgender military ban. The appropriations bill amendment, which passed the Democratic-controlled House, is unlikely to be considered by the Republican-led Senate. Nine Republicans joined Democrats in voting for the amendment.

1. It is not a right to serve in the military. Autism and asthma are reasons for prohibiting enlistment, as are many other conditions ranging all the way down to dyslexia. Dissociative identity disorders are good cause for refusal, and gender dysphoria is an identity disorder. 2. Transgender soldiers cause disruption within the ranks, from cross gendered interactions becoming confused, to (well founded) fears of sexual impropriety. 3. Transgender soldiers drastically increase medical spending, especially if the service is forced to supply them with hormone replacement therapy. 4. Post surgery mtf soldiers are at constant risk of infection due to their daily need to dilate. This also renders them unfit for long term missions away from civilization. 5. Transgender soldiers are at greatly increased risk for mental instability and constitute a suicide risk 40% higher than non transgender soldiers. 6. If a trans soldier passes well enough that they don’t feel the need to be open about it, then they are falsifying their enlistment documentation, which is a felony. It’s not a right, it causes more problems than it solves, and appeasing woke activists is not worth weakening the armed forces.
