China’s Xi Jinping arrives in North Korea for summit with Kim Jong Un

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived Thursday morning for a two-day state visit to North Korea, where he’s expected to have talks with leader Kim Jong Un. Xi is the first Chinese president to visit North Korea in 14 years. Sources indicate that China could play a constructive role in breaking the cycle of mistrust between North Korea and the US and Xi’s visit is a step in that direction.
