Senate approves its own version of border aid bill

The Senate passed its version of a supplemental border funding bill after rejecting the House bill passed earlier in the week. The Senate’s bipartisan bill passed amid renewed scrutiny over the treatment of young migrants in US custody at detention centers. The bill will be returned to the House for consideration. The House and Senate are divided over several policy issues including ICE.
