Global markets turn cautious as US threatens EU with tariffs

Stock futures slipped Tuesday morning after the US threatened a new wave of tariffs on goods from the EU, dampening recent optimism surrounding the Washington-Beijing trade truce. Earlier, stocks in Asia mostly edged up, as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) slashed its cash rate to a new all-time low. The S&P 500 surged to an all-time high on Monday on the heels of improved US-China trade talks.
