Apple design chief Jony Ive set to leave

The influential designer of numerous Macs, the iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch and other iconic products, Sir Jony Ive, is leaving Apple after nearly 3 decades. Chief design officer Ive plans to depart later this year to form his own independent design firm LoveFrom. Ive holds more than 5,000 patents and has been recognized with numerous design awards.

what design? the different colored cases? good job with that one. I also enjoyed the charging port at the bottom instead of on the face of the phone.

He is Steve's ace. A great designer who should have had more influence in the post Jobs Apple. Wonder if he was at the helm instead. Would Apple be better?
