Patient claims police arrested him for allegedly trying to steal IV

A black hospital patient in Illinois says he was arrested while on a walk last month after police claimed he was trying to steal the IV hooked up to his arm. Shaquille Dukes, 24, was being treated for pneumonia at the Freeport Health Network Memorial Hospital when he went outside for a walk. He claims he encountered ’an overzealous, racist, security officer’ who blamed him for stealing equipment.

TL;DR - security guard calls police on black guy walking outside hospital with IV equipment. Says doctor said to walk around, but hospital say there was no permission to leave building. Medical personnel ["not a doctor" ] removed IV and he was placed under arrest. Summary: stay inside hospital

Might be coincidence but do you ever notice the media only ever note up front that someone isn't white when they're unjustly arrested?
