Chinese state media condemns Hong Kong protests

Masked protesters in Hong Kong stormed the legislature early Tuesday. Hong Kong leader, Carrie Lam, condemned those involved and their ’extreme use of violence’. Chinese state media broke their silence over days of pro-democracy demonstrations and called the Tuesday protest an ’undisguised challenge’ to the one country, two systems. Demonstrators said they were standing up for their rights.
