Booker proposes changes to immigration detention system

In contrast to Trump’s administration, Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker announced plans to eliminate immigration detention if elected, on Tuesday. His plans included ending the use of for-profit detention facilities, limiting the time unaccompanied children spend in custody, and restoring protections granted to young immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program

After doing their best to alienate all white voters, particularly white men they are desperate for a new voter base who can vote In great enough numbers to offset the voters they have lost or know they will lose with their intersectional politics. They will do anything, screw the consequences to grab power. To hell with the massive cost to the welfare state, the overcrowded schools, hospitals and roads. They don't give a shit just so long as they grab power. What kind of America could possibly object to asking if you are an American citizen on the census. Dems have stopped even pretending they give a shit about the average American. They have stopped trying to appeal to the independents who hold the presidency in their hands.

He might as well have said,' Virtually eliminate the borders.' Because that's what would happen with this plan.

Limit the time unaccompanied children are held? Is his answer to release thousands of unaccompanied children into the wild?
