Plane forced to make emergency landing after fire erupts in cabin

A Virgin Atlantic flight from New York to London made an emergency landing in Boston on Thursday night because of a fire that was apparently sparked by a phone charger in first class. All 217 passengers were safely evacuated after the Airbus A330 landed at Boston’s Logan Airport. Investigators believe the fire was sparked by a faulty battery pack in a phone charger.

The emergency landing was not justified. Extinguish the flames and go on. It's not a big issue and no risk for the plane. Why are people so hypersensitive, when it comes to planes?
