Seismologists warn California could see ’bigger earthquake’

Seismologists warn California could see ’bigger earthquake’

California is on alert for more aftershocks after the southern part of the state was hit by a 6.4-magnitude quake Thursday. Caltech seismologists have warned that aftershocks will continue for some time, saying ’there is about a 1 in 20 chance that this location will be having an even bigger earthquake within the next few days’.

I, for one, welcome California's seismic secession from the continental U.S.

So after 'The Big One' hits, will California look like it does in the movie "Surf Nazis Must Die"?

Hey, as a message to all Californians that haven't gone completely insane with leftist politics, why don't you leave and come live with sensible people again?

Wow. We “could” have more earthquakes. Those scientists are so smart.

For all the people in the comments being glad this happened, Kern County is actually VERY conservative. They can’t even manage to keep a marijuana shop there, they’re closed immediately. The quake barely touched LA, but it hit Kern hard. Btw LA basically steals these peoples’ water, so they aren’t typically fond of the place.

I got family and friends there... I wish them no ill will. Side note: aftershocks are a good thing. That's pressure getting released in a gentler manner. It's when you don't have many aftershocks is when to get concerned.

If it wasn't for the fact that my sister loves there I would say that Mother Nature could have the whole state...though to be fair California isn't so bad outside the cities and northern California is actually quite nice.
