Iran tanker detention by Britain was threatening act, minister says

Iran’s Defense Minister has said Britain’s seizing of an Iranian oil tanker last week was a threatening act that will not be tolerated. Royal Marines impounded the tanker in Gibraltar on Thursday on suspicion it was carrying oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions. Iran denies the vessel was headed to Syria, while not specifying the final destination of the vessel.

Threatening... Yeh, Royal Marines tend to do that. Especially when they drop onto your ship from a helicopter in pitch black. Threatening is kind of the point.

So now Iran is threatening to resort to piracy, how pathetic.

Yeah, almost as threatening as refining uranium 238, in breach of an agreement.

What is a "Royal" Marine? Are they directed by the Queen instead of the Prime Minister?
