Houston man accused of trying to join IS pleads guilty

A Texas man who planned to travel overseas and shared information on making bombs and using machetes has pleaded guilty to trying to join the IS group. Kaan Sercan Damlarkaya, 20, of Houston pleaded guilty Monday to attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Damlarkaya, a US citizen, was arrested in December 2017 following an undercover FBI investigation.

We're supposed to believe this was really a "Houston man" and "Texan man" with a name like Kaan Sercan Damlarkaya?

This guy should be allowed to go over and join the IS. He sounds so dumb that he'd probably take out a few of them during training due to ineptitude using live weapons. My favorite line from one of the stories: "Authorities found a machete near Damlarkaya's bed." Yep, this guy's a real killer.
