Senator moves bill calling for equal pay in US soccer

Inspired by a letter from the head women’s soccer coach at West Virginia University, Sen. Joe Manchin, introduced a bill that calls for blocking federal funds for the 2026 World Cup until the U.S. Soccer Federation gives equal pay to its women’s and men’s teams. The legislation comes in time with the women’s team latest World Cup victory — which fired up their long-running fight for equal pay.

You generate a fraction of the money that the men's league does, get a larger cut than the men do, and cant even beat boys teams. Just shut up already.

I can't name a single female football player, but I can name several male football players and even clubs, even though I don't watch football at all. Maybe when you're as famous as Messi or Ronaldo, you will get that kind of money, until then just go back to whining about it on tumblr.

The women get paid 23% of the world cup revenue. The men only get 7%. This IS an outrage. There is no equality in this world and its just not fair.
