House to vote Friday on 9/11 victims fund

The House is expected to vote Friday on a legislation to authorize funding for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. The vote will come after Jon Stewart gave an emotional testimony before Congress last month calling on lawmakers to take swift action to extend the funding for first responders.

I don't understand why it hasn't been done yet. When they were needed, those heroes responded without question. Now after damn near 20 years they still can't get a clean funding bill through? No one can keep their greedy mitts off the bill long enough to keep from adding unnecessary shit? Damn these greedy fucks!
