Judge faces hearing for telling rape victim she could close her legs

New Jersey judge, John Russo Jr, who told a woman she could ’close your legs’ to prevent a sexual assault has ’learned his lesson’ and ’will not do this again.’ says his lawyer. Russo has previously said he was seeking more information and wasn’t trying to humiliate the woman. He didn’t speak on Tuesday during a disciplinary hearing before the state Supreme Court, with his lawyer representing him.

I think some context is missing here. Based on the fox article he didn't really seem convinced that the woman was actually raped.

He's sorry for saying it out loud. It's still what he thinks.

He's not wrong. Statistically, sluts and whores are far more likely to be raped or sexually assaulted. So it's fair to recommend that girls avoid these high-risk behaviors. And a side benefit of closing your legs, is no unwanted pregnancy, and men will respect you more. "Close your legs" is pretty sound advice.
