Trump hosts social-media summit, invites some of his biggest online supporters

President Trump is hosting a social media summit on Thursday and has invited some of his biggest social media supporters and some lawmakers. Facebook and Twitter are believed to not be invited to the summit. This summit comes at a time when Trump, a frequent user of Twitter, has been criticizing social media platforms, accusing them of silencing those who support him.

I don’t think Tim Pool is one of trumps biggest online supporter.

Those who don't agree with left wing media are all alt right, there's no middle ground, you're either with us or against us. Tim Pool made a good point, the Democrats and left-wing media want to outsource the destruction of free speech, just have big tech silence people who don't think correctly.

For a website labelled as Tech, that story on the Verge sounds a whole lot like some Vox spin piece. Pathetic how the MSM is scared of some meme makers, independant youtube journalists, and investigative reporters. It's because they know they're losing. Tim Pool > the entirety of CNN, including that spawn of the Satanic Gloria Vanderbilt, Anderson Cooper.

I'm a conservative, but I watch Tim Pool every day...more than any other journalist or commentator. I find him to be trustworthy and honest.

they aren't all his supporters. kinda ridiculous to frame it that way. it's people who are actively reporting and watching the censorship by social media platforms

Tell me about Tim. Why does he wear the beanie?

The headlines the Left sites have come up with are an embarrassment. Slate's nonchalant dismissal of Tim Pool's career and coverage of Chicago and Sweden is laughable, they could learn a thing or two from Tim about being a journalist.

NPR on who Facebook banned, "extremists Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer and Joseph Watson". Extremists? I may not like them, but they are not what I think of when I hear "extremists". I think Boston Bomber, Florida Night Club Shooter, Republican Baseball Shooter, New Zealand Mosque Shooter, not a flamboyant Jewish man married to a black guy.

Slate either has stock negative descriptions of anyone on the right or the their interns were burning the midnight oil coming up with all that gubberish. Interesting that TDS allows them to paint so many people in such negative ways.

Slate adding Twitter's response to James O'Keefe's Project Veritas footage doesn't help their case against him the way they think it does. Yes, how dare he expose Twitter practices they've repeatedly lied about! Rude! "Twitter released a statement at the time asserting, 'We deplore the deceptive and underhanded tactics by which this footage was obtained and selectively edited to fit a pre-determined narrative.'"

Notice that "BUT" thrown in there for good measure: "Angelo Carusone, president of the media watchdog group Media Matters, believes in free speech, but he says some of the guests at the summit alarm him. 'There's a couple of establishment players there, but for the most part they're far-right extremists and a lot of people with ties to white nationalism.'" (NPR article)

I love it how the liberal sources think that invites are far right, fringe groups, or his fans. So far off base, they are.

Tim Pool is a real journalist and has shown up the establishment journos for the hacks they are.

Two of the oddest invitees is the Heritage Foundation and Prager U. One is a think tank that comes up with talking points for the right, the other is a pusher of misinformation and outright lies.
