Trump administration sets new rule for immigrants seeking asylum

The Trump administration on Monday unveiled a new rule to bar almost all immigrants from applying for asylum at the southern border. The new rule requires them to first pursue safe haven in a third country through which they had traveled on the way to the US. The American Civil Liberties Union called the rule ’patently unlawful’ and vowed to file a lawsuit against it.

"The policy shift would likely bring new pressures and official burdens on Mexico and Guatemala, countries through which migrants and refugees often pass on their way to the U.S." How are they a "burden" for every other country, but a "treasure" for the US?!

If they're not $h+tholes, then why can't they give safe harbor to asylum seekers? Are we the savior's of the world?

Now this is good law, it addresses the issue of forum shopping which is the root of the problem the US government is facing at the southern border.

This ticks me off because some people from Central America actually DO legitimately need asylum but now they won't be able to get it because economic migrants have abused they system.

To combat the globalists attack on the nation state states are going to have to step up to the plate and defend themselves. The only people who will be outraged by enforcement of borders are those that seek their removal. If they wish to do this then they should do it via the ballot box and not by organising border crises around the world. As usual the so called left believe the the ends justify the means regardless if the cost is to human beings. If they can paint their opponents as the bad guys with the results all the better

There needs to be consequences for organized crime syndicates involved in human trafficking to manipulate and influence national politics. This is social and economic warfare.

GOOD! Keep 'em out unless they come through legally and want to acclimate.

Don't travel through safe-enough Mexico to the USA if you're seeking asylum. It's that simple.
