House votes to condemn Trump’s tweets

The House of Representatives formally condemned President Trump on Tuesday for xenophobic attacks on minority Democratic lawmakers and hostile language targeting immigrants. Trump slammed the vote calling it a ’Democrat con game’ and urged fellow Republicans not to ’show ’weakness’ and fall into their trap’. Four members of Trump’s party voted with the 235 Democrats.

Per Merriam-Webster, racism: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. ------------------------ I'm still not connecting the dots on how anything Trump said fits that definition.

And why would a resolution need to be raised about a nonexistent issue? Why do we as the taxpayers pay your salary? Which is upwards of about 175,000 a year plus benefits that we likely pay for as well? For wasting not only your time but more importantly our time with your sniveling temper tantrums.

It's impressive how the left managed to accomplish making the term racist utterly meaningless.

Too bad House Dems can’t vote on any legislation. They fell for it yet again.

Holy smokes. Has the House of Representatives ever moved so fast? Maybe they should try doing that with actual legislative solutions.

How about they just vote to condemn bigotry in “all it's forms” like they did with Omar?

Doesn't anyone care at this point what the house decides. Just because they say its racist doesn't make it true, they should spend time on more important issues.

Eric, for the record the House has passed 33 bills, compared to the do-nothing Republicans in the Senate who have passed a whopping 7. The Republicans have done nothing in over 8 years.

In the last 50yrs or so the lines "Go back to where you came from" have been used as a racist remark over and over again. From right supremacists to pop culture to recently the the president. It's been documented in many forms over these decades and more. Find any YouTube video of it and show me its not a white person screaming it at a colored folk. You can excuse it all you want but history sure as hell shows Trump was being stupidly racist playing to his racist base who are just stupid enough not to listen to what he says and just lap it up. The idiot thought raking forests presents fires. He said that. That and judges aren't fit for duty if they were born in Mexico. He's not playing the left he's playing the right. You idiots.

Again the title states a lie as fact. There was nothing racist in Trump's tweet. I've spent every conversation about this, that I've had so far, trying to get a single person to explain the racism and haven't found a single person who can make a decent argument as to what was racist about his tweets. Can we at least be objective in our news headlines on this app. I know it won't happen on the communist mass media, but newsvoice can do better than that.
