Girl, 6, dies after golf ball strikes her head from father’s tee shot

A 6-year-old girl died following a tragic accident at a Utah golf course. Kellen Hill and his daughter Aria were golfing at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem, Utah, Monday, when the ball hit by Hill struck Aria in the back of her head. Aria was flown to a hospital but died of her injuries later in the evening. Police are not considering criminal charges and are treating the incident as an accident.

We need sensible golfing regulations.

very sad. I've been hit with a golf ball in the leg, couldn't imagine a direct hit like she took.

Tragic. My neighbour took out someone's eye once at a golf course. And yes, also with a golf ball.

So sad. My dad took us golfing when we were young too. What a tragedy. She looks like she was a lovely, happy, bright-eyed darling. 🙏 for the family to find a way through this.

You dont shoot your gun when people are in front either. A gun is way more accurate, but there is still this safety precaution. This guy learned the most horrid way imagineable.
