US imposes sanctions Myanmar commander in chief over Rohingya killings

US announced sanctions on Myanmar’s military Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing on Tuesday over extrajudicial killings of Rohingya Muslims. Several military officers including him are barred from entering the United States. It is seen as a strong step and also covers Min Aung Hlaing’s deputy, Soe Win, and two other senior commanders and their families.
