Sanders offers staff 14% pay raise in addition to 17% reduction in hours

Bernie Sanders has reached an agreement with his unionized campaign staff to increase starting pay for low level staffers by 14% to $42k, in addition to reducing hours by 17% from 60 to 50. Staff welcomed the move as being in line with the campaign’s political message. The senator pays higher wages than any other candidate.

"$15/HR minimum wage would have no drawbacks at all" confused and economically illiterate leftist. Edit: And now they're calling for $20/hr minimum wage. These people are idiots.

Best argument against minimum wage," Even Bernie would cut hours if it's instituted."

I agree with restricting the hours of Employees. You shouldn't need to work more than 40 hours per week to get by. I've read the CBO report, it says there maybe 0% change in employment or up to 3.7%. That is not a conclusion. If you are earning more disposable income you will spend more of it. That will grow the economy and employment. With 60% of Americans out of the economy just getting by or sinking. Any extra income would be spent back into the economy. The rise of private credit has masked the economic reality for many Americans. Wake up.

True. It is ironic. But in the other hand, "Sanders said the solution is to limit the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 a week to ensure they're making the equivalent of $15 per hour.", so they were working well over 40 hours per week before, so this is likely a good thing. 43 hours a week instead of 50+ (for the same wage). Making people work 50+ hours a week before is the true scandal.

Maybe that $15 minimum wage is trickier than you thought. Feel the Bern eh Bernie?
