Indian government committee recommends crypto ban

An Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) set up to look into bitcoin and cryptocurrency regulations in India has recommended a blanket ban on the virtual currencies. The committee has made the recommendation ’given the risks associated with them and volatility in their prices’. However, the committee also advised the government to not jettison the idea of creating a national cryptocurrency.

And there goes all the potential for economic growth in Shindia. They should really do more Lakshmi prayer sessions with such sensible economic policies. Maybe they should ban currency altogether and start trading bricks of compressed excrement. It's a very sensible policy, come to think. There can only be so much shit produced, so it would be quite immune to inflation, deflation and sanitation.
