Singapore seizes tons of elephant tusks, pangolin scales

Singapore has made its largest ever seizure of smuggled ivory. Authorities impounded a haul of nearly nine tons of contraband tusks from an estimated 300 elephants. The illegal cargo was discovered on Sunday in a container from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It also included a huge stash of pangolin scales. The container was destined for Vietnam and passing through Singapore.
