$6 million settlement paid to Armstrong family in wrongful death

An Ohio hospital has paid the estate of astronaut Neil Armstrong $6 million to settle allegations that post-surgical complications led to Armstrong’s death. The 2014 settlement went to 10 family members. Armstrong’s widow, Carol, did not receive any money in the settlement. Armstrong’s sons contended care provided by Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital cost their father his life.

Oh for gods sake why the man is dead a lawsuit will not bring him back and given his age he would have likely died at most 5 years from now. Look mr Armstrong is a hero he deserves full credit for his bravery and for the fame he brought to the great state of Ohio but taking money from insurance companies like this just jacks up everyone else’s medical costs for no good reason.
