Why would anyone trust Facebook?

Facebook and financial anonymity or even pseudonymity? That's like Red Bull and Champagne.

This is a no brainer. Why would one invest in a stable coin pegged to the current value of the US dollar when they could invest in a coin finite in number with the virtual guarantee of an increase in value over time? Stable coins are used by traders to hold profits when the crypto market drops. They are then traded out for possible, profit generating coins at the dip. They are also used to take profits in crypto and then converted to FIAT. LIBRA will likely not be used in this sense if used at all. That being said, if it is adopted for wide scale usage (LIBRA), FB stock should see awesome gains.

Let's see, trust Bitcoin who has not given away my data, or trust Facebook who has given away every peice of my data they have. Let me think. The question is why would anyone think I would trust Libra? At all.
