Trump vetoes Congress’ efforts to block Saudi arms sales

Many of Trump’s actions delight me, but this was a bad move. It’s time call out Saudi Arabia for their brutal human rights violations. The UN is also very much to blame for letting them get away with murder, literally!!

Makes sense. After all, in a world where Iran is openly violating nuclear weapons treaties and attacking civilian shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, it's important to ensure that our potential allies are better equipped than our enemies.

selling weapons to the Saudis and Emiratis might help us in the long run. with a well equipped Saudi Arabia maybe they will go to war with Iran instead of the US

It's clear he has a vested interest but some things are just too mayor to ignore when you're the head of a country. Selling weapons to the enemies of humanity doesn't look good on anyone's résumé.
