Flyboard inventor fails in attempt to cross the English Channel

A French inventor’s attempt to cross the English Channel on a hoverboard has ended in failure after he crashed while trying to land on a re-fueling station in the middle of the Channel. Franky Zapata took off from near Calais earlier this morning but fell into the water, missing the platform at the re-fueling station by just ’a few centimeters’.

Watch the take off video on the techspot article. Props to this guy who invented a flying board powerful enough to lift his massive balls of steel. I hope he tries again.

Okay, so wait a minute. The narrowest part of the English Channel are the straights of Dover which are 20 miles. This guy created a skateboard that hover like on Back to the Future 2 and flew it 10 miles AND THAT'S CONSIDERED A FAIL?!?!? As an aside here's some food for thought. Not one leftist organization celebrated this amazing attempt. Fox News, that supposedly hates covered this man's ingenuity (OH! now I get it. It would have had to have been some someone higher on the victim scale in order for it to be covered by the left His mortal sins were that he was a man, he is in the military, and most likely he's white and probably Christian because in my experience only Christian's truly think ANYTHING is possible).

If back to the future taught us anything, hover boards don't work on water. and he calls himself an inventer....😋

Is that the same guy that was flying around before the start of the French F1 GP?
