Puerto Rico’s next governor will be investigated over hurricane relief

Puerto Rico is facing a fresh political saga just a day after Ricardo Rosselló resigned as governor on Wednesday. The Office of Government Ethics OEG confirmed on Thursday that lawyers will look into Wanda Vázquez, the woman set to replace Rosselló, to see if she allegedly refused to probe a scandal involving spoiled donated goods after two hurricanes debilitated the island in 2017.

People blame Trump for the poor hurricane response when the governor was the one who left stuff out to spoil. I will admit it was incompetent of the American government to prevent the aid of the British and the French navies to assist.
