Apple won’t be exempt from tariffs for products made in China: Trump

Trump confirmed in a tweet that Apple will not get any relief for tariffs on parts made in China for its Mac Pro computer. On July 18, Apple asked the US Trade Representative’s office to waive 25% tariffs on 15 parts, including ones for the Mac Pro desktop computer. The public comment period for those requests closes on August 1.

Apple is a multi billion dollar company. They can easily absorb the tariffs. Of course they won’t and use that as an excuse to extort more money from their customers.

I have an Apple Watch and use Mac computers. But will echo most thoughts. If Mac doesn’t like it, invest in America first

Why would anyone expect Apple to get a waiver? Apple is neither as special or indispensable as Apple thinks it is.
