Supreme Court rules Trump can use military funds for border wall construction

A new Supreme Court order allows Trump and his administration to redirect $2.5 billion in money approved by Congress for the Pentagon to help build his promised wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Lawmakers refused to provide funding.

Fantastic. While a physical barrier will not stop all illegal immigration, it's a big deterrent to those who want to try to walk across the border.

"The ACLU said it will ask the 9th Circuit, which currently has the full case before it, to speed up proceedings, in an effort to stop as much construction as possible." Tells you everything you need to know. SCOTUS said Trump is in the right and the Left's response is to take it back to the most overturned appellate court in America

It's money going towards the United States and NOT a foreign oil war. Obama must be seething.

Well as the Commander in Chief of the military he should be able to use military funds to build the wall.

Still waiting for the salty leftists to chime in on this epic win for the rule of law. So far they are quiet. Probably crying like Alyssa Milano on how their feelings got hurt. If only feelings alone led to good decisions, but sadly feelings most of the time lead to bad decisions. That's why it's Trump 2020 for me. They got me fooled twice with Obama, not this time.

You've gotta love the "but a lot of people overstay their Visa's too" argument. So, ok, if I go into the E.R. with a knife in my chest and a bullet in my leg, we shouldn't bother with the knife because theres going to still be the bullet there anyways? That literally makes zero sense. You have to start somewhere. And considering the Dems would rather let children starve than to vote to fund detention centers, just so they can try to make Trump look bad, the wall should be an easier place to start.

Given the US military budget. the wall is going to be 20,000 ft tall, 1000 ft thick and painted in military grey with cannons on top.

This is why every Democrat who voted for an increase of the Pentagon budget should be put on notice.

AHHHHH I am so torn. I really want a boarder wall and I am rooting for Trump. That said, I do not like this precedent since people like AOC will use it kill all the cows and whatnot.
