’Game of Thrones’ creators are leaving HBO for Netflix

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the brains behind Game of Thrones have struck a multi-year deal with Netflix on Wednesday. The duo will create exclusive content for them outside their deal with Disney to direct an upcoming Star Wars trilogy. Sources said the deal is worth $200 million and will include film and TV projects. The pair had spent over 10 years at HBO, working on Game of Thrones.

How companies are eager to employ those clowns is beyond me. The way they fucked GoT up, who will want to whatch their production? Sure, they slowly ramped up the fuckups starting at half of the show. But who wants to watch a show that starts well when you know it will be butchered for "effect" down the line?

That is genuinely surprising. I would have thought they'd be essentially untouchable after the fiasco they caused with GoT. They essentially burned the franchise down and walked away leaving HBO to sift through the wreckage. Why would anyone want to take them on after that?
