School bathroom policy violates transgender student’s rights, court rules

School bathroom policy violates transgender student’s rights, court rules

A federal judge in Virginia ruled Friday in favor of a former student, concluding that a school board’s transgender restroom ban was discriminatory. Gavin Grimm, a transgender male, was forced to use the girl’s restroom or a private restroom and was prohibited from using the men’s room as a result of the school’s policy.

There's already bathrooms that cater to people like these (mentally ill, less than 1% of the population), the disabled bathrooms. Just use those, they're cleaner and free most of the time.

If you are standing in front of 2 doors, Woman's and Men's restroom doors and do not know what to do. Reach down inside the front of your underwear and feel around. That right there will tell you. #OnlyTwoGenders!

And so boys will be forced to share facilities with and be exposed to this biological female. Hopefully their parents will sue and somehow the myth that transgenderism isn't a mental disorder will be dispelled, but I'm not holding my breath.

This ruling about the "gender-based discrimination" for a person that de facto is not gendered that way is ludicrous. As the judge herself stated, this was a non-issue until *recently*, so I doubt this is something that will stand upon appeal to the USSC. Quote: Allen ruled that Grimm's rights were violated under the Constitution's equal protection clause as well as under Title IX, the federal policy that protects against gender-based discrimination and requires the school board to update Grimm's gender on his high school transcripts. (He graduated in 2017.) Judge Allen acknowledged that the school board had the "unenviable responsibility" of creating fair and inclusive rules for students on an issue that didn't exist until recently.

That ruling of the judge reads like a school paper about fairness of a 6th grader!

Easy way to solve this, instead of men’s and women’s bathrooms have dicks and slits, problem solved

The only way to go with this is to have every bathroom either have its own locking door, entered from a main hallway, or if it’s a large bathroom have each stall with floor-to-ceiling walls and it’s all available to everyone. No open urinals. Everyone uses a toilet, like at home. It’ll use more water and be worse for the environment, and schools will have to divert funds from educational resources to this, but it will end the high cost of these lawsuits. Oh—and schools will have to install cameras in there, to protect everyone. Maybe then they can fine people who don’t wash their hands after using a stall, to help defray the cost of implementation. This will create jobs (that taxpayers will fund) because all of this will need more government oversight. Parents will love to get fined for their children’s lack of hand washing!

Children should not be subjected to this. I understand that gender disforia is a sevear mental illness with no cure, but children should not be sexualised in this manner. Once 18 the lerson should have the chose to transition and if they do so, then they should be aloud to use the bathroom of that new gender. Anything else opens the door to rape and child molestation.
