The Kremlin denied on Tuesday that recent protests in Moscow have created a political crisis in Russia. A spokesperson said that tough police action at the rallies had been justified, but individual cases of police excess were being looked into.
They're definitely sliding into a political crisis. Putin is a wannabe dictator and his routine persecution and imprisonment of political rivals smacks of Stalinism which makes a lot of people in Russia uncomfortable with the prospect of returning to the bad old days.
This doesn't seem to be getting nearly enough attention. I hadn't even heard of these protests. It makes you wonder if news editors have an interest in maintaining Russia's image for some reason or another (views, loyalty, politics, etc.).
The Kremlin and its people have an unbreakable bond!
as Nicholas II slowly turns away
Bring the Kremlin down.. Figuratively.
I wonder if these are Leftists protesting?
