Microplastics are raining from the sky in Rocky Mountains

Researchers from the US Geological Survey have discovered tiny plastic shards, beads and fibers in about 90 per cent of rainwater collected at various locations in Colorado, including the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park. They believe the plastics came from litter, though they are unsure how the plastics got into the atmosphere.
