South Korean leader calls for talks to end trade row with Japan

South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in offered an olive branch to Japan to end an ongoing trade dispute Thursday. Moon was speaking at a ceremony marking the 74th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese rule at the end of World War II. A recent dispute about wartime forced labor has brought the two nation’s ties to their lowest ebb in more than half a century.
